Article on responsive images at A List Apart

Here is an interesting new article at A List Apart about responsive images. It looks like responsive images are the next frontier in responsive web design. As always, A List Apart is on top of things. I can’t think of a more consistently-great source of web design info. I’ve been reading it since I first became interested in web design around 12 years ago.

Is The Hunger Games a sexist fairy tale?

I don’t know. I read the first two books and they were entertaining enough to get through, but not enough to make me read the third book.

I enjoyed reading two essays by The Last Psychiatrist, in which he or she argues that the first book, at least, is a sexist fairy tale, and not a feminist work, because the protagonist is “robbed of agency”. In the first essay he makes that argument, and in the second one he elaborates more and responds to some critiques.

I think he makes some good points but I’m afraid it would be too easy to pick apart almost any work in this way and declare it sexist.

New additions to the portfolio

I just added a few new websites and one new iOS app to the portfolio page. The websites are, Cybex Marketing, Affordable Garage Doors Nashville, and High Desert Action. The iPhone app is an app I developed to be sold to real estate agents, helping them keep in touch with their clients.
